When I took this photograph the effect was almost identical to that recorded by Ruskin, even including similar clouds on the distant hills. I was most surprised to see that the Curia’s garden had survived much as Ruskin had drawn it. It looked, I have to say, rather forgotten. It would perhaps be good for it to be maintained as Ruskin would have liked.
