This photograph shows more-or –less the same field of view as Turner’s sketch TB CLXXX!! 41. The Ponte Cestio was rebuilt in the 1880s in its present form. Turner’s sketch was actually taken from the end of the Ponte Rotto, which is slightly further left but the exact viewpoint is no longer accessible
